Okay, turns out its Ferrari 3200cc quattrovavole engine so could be one of a number of Ferrari's.

Its Gawsworth, in early May.
Blimey, I live in Gawsworth, and work in Knutsford. How have we not met? wink
Oh wow, you're at Tt games! Well i've nearly had her 1 year and she only really goes out at the weekends. This is the first unusual car we've had so never bothered about meets before as a 2004 diesel Vectra (my dads) would look a little out of place. Also im at uni, so this also limits runs to easter, christmas and summer. Although the occasional weekend home gives her a run too.

All the best and good luck.

Best hurry up before the average speed camera's go up as announced yesterday. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/manchester/8516...
Thats an absolute joke! To be fair, even really pushing it, my Lomax would probably only just be able to top the 50mph average limit. I do feel for all bikers and those with higher performance cars especially V8Dom. If they were only putting up 2 cameras, one at each end, that would be fine as the C&F is a nice stop off point, but 7?!

@ flat6- Your mini is lovely and hasn't been molested like a lot of "real" minis. The 50mph average limit won't affect too many people anyway because you really have to be pushing it to get 50 average along the C&F road, i'm going to wait until the weather up top gets a bit nicer before the Lomax goes up.

One of these days I will get me a little Lotus, but there are two conditions.

1 : It must be a hardtop as there are only 3 days a year in this country when a softop is justified, and even then you can't leave it parked without putting the roof up

2 : It must not have a 4 cylinder motor (unless it has an off-beat big bang crank like race bikes) - no matter how you disguise it a 4-pot engine will never make the sweet engine sound of a triple, a 5, a 6, or a V8 or a V10.

But lightweight, perfect pedigree, sweet handling, bloody expensive for parts - the little Lotus is perfect in so many other ways. Maybe someone does a Triumph triple conversion ...
I would really like one as well, unfortunately this is not possible due to the fact i am 6ft 5. I tried sitting in one, but it just didn't work frown

I dont see the issue with a 4 pot personally.

you can get a Hennessey venom GT which has a V10 under the bonnet, but its so far from the original it defies the point of an elise. If you want one of these, you will need SERIOUSLY deep pockets though.

As for the hardtop bussiness- you soon learn that you can do without a roof a lot more than you think as soon as you don't have one, but parking can be an issue. If it is only used as a fun car then you have no worries. We have done over 3000 miles this year in the Lomax and we haven't done THAT many days/trips out as i'm at uni for about 35 weeks of a year, and that is with NO roof at all or a windscreen. We have a lot more planned for this year, including a driving holiday down to Devon for 4 days covering probably around 800miles in that alone as well as various other trips to the lakes and a lot of shows.
