Sunday 16th October 2011 will see the next award winning Yorkshire Big Breakfast to be held at Specialist Cars of Malton in North Yorkshire.

From 8.30am refreshments will be available, there will be a chance to catch up with old friends, have a look at some beautiful cars, meet like minded enthusiasts and hopefully you'll have a drive out first.

We'll be serving bacon and sausage sandwiches with all profits to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance

We have had over 1500 people a time at these events and a wide variety of rare and unusual sports cars and motorbikes

As last time all are welcome, please spread the word amongst your friends and other owners clubs and car clubs, the more the merrier. Directions are here http://www.specialistcarsltd.co.uk/special/contact...

To give us an idea of who is coming please add your name and car to the list

Thanks to everyone who came to the Yorkshire Big Breakfast yesterday, we had another amazing turnout with a really good variety of cars. We hope everyone enjoyed the event and got home safely.

We have had a visit from the Police who said they have had many complaints about the standard of driving of a few individuals leaving the event. We understand that they will soon be contacting the drivers of several cars in particular.

Whilst criticism should be levelled at those going too far on leaving if no-one was spectating there would be no crowd to play to and things would quickly return to normal.

If we are going to be able to run the Yorkshire Big Breakfast again we ask that all drivers show a little restraint, the last thing we want is to have an incident with people injured, cars damaged etc.

Let’s not let the actions of a very small minority damage which is a really popular and enjoyable event. Looking back through this thread the first 8 pages are people looking forward to a good day out, the last 8 pages are concern about driving standards, it would be a shame if shine was taken off what was otherwise a great day.

If the police follow things up, then perhaps next year marshalls could monitor cars leaving, and actually prevent "flybys".
We could not possibly put marshalls on, for a start they would have no legal power to stop anything, secondly we could be seen to be condoning silliness and as such opening ourselves to a claim should something go wrong.

Drivers need to moderate themselves, they shouldn't need people telling them what is and isn't wise, or acceptable.
