It is that time of year again, the first big run out of the year, the Yorkshire Big Breakfast at Specialist Cars of Malton.

Once again Easter Sunday, 8th April 2012, will see hundreds of drivers meet at Malton from 8.30am for a bacon sandwich and a chance to look at some of the finest metal in the North of England.

Now in its 5th year the Yorkshire Big Breakfast has grown to become one of the North's premier multi-marque car events with every kind of sports and classic car in attendance. We've had over 1500 people attend the last events and this promises to be even bigger.

As always everyone is welcome, no matter what you drive (or ride, motorbikes are of course welcome), please pass this invite on to your car clubs, owners clubs, friends and colleagues, it is the mix of makes and models that makes this event so exciting.

We have been advised by North Yorkshire Police that they will be in attendance so please keep the driving sensible, enjoy the day and have a great morning.

As usual please add your name to the list below. You can also use the Facebook event to invite your friends.

Hi.I'm after directions,i will be coming from the direction of Wetwang. I know my way as far as the traffic lights at the crossroads in Malton town centre, but can't remember the way from there, not been to the BB meet for 3 years. Can anyone help me out please.Thanks.
Just follow the streams of sports cars!

From Wetwang you'll cross the level crossing at Norton, over the river, past Morrisons on the left and up to the traffic lights. Turn left at the lights, towards York, up the hill, the war memorial is on the right. Keep going into the 40 limit and take the first left, Seph Way. Past Travis Perkins on the right and if it isn't already rammed with cars turn right and we're on the right hand side.

The postcode for anyone using satnav is YO17 6YB.

See you there.

Fab morning out as ever. Police presence totally overboard. A mobile police station for heavens sake? Its not Brixton! A single patrol car on the main road would have been ample.
As the organiser I have to disagree, we wouldn't have needed any police presence, and indeed didn't have for the first few events as people behaved themselves. When a couple of drivers started getting out of line last time they spoilt it for everyone else. If one of those drivers had got it wrong they would have been into the crowds watching and encouraging them and that would have put an end to the event for good. As it is the cops came, they kept an eye on things, they were good natured, at the end of the day most of them are petrolheads like us and they made sure that we can continue to run the event.

The police will be present at our future events, with 2000 plus people present there is no way we could guarantee a safe fun event without their assistance.
