It is that time of year again, the last big run out of the year, the Yorkshire Big Breakfast at Specialist Cars of Malton.

Sunday October 14th 2012 will see thousands of drivers meet at Malton from 8.30am for a bacon sandwich and a chance to look at some of the finest metal in the North of England.

Now in its 5th year the Yorkshire Big Breakfast has grown to become one of the North's premier multi-marque car events with every kind of sports and classic car in attendance. We've had over 2000 people attend the last events and this promises to be even bigger.

As always everyone is welcome, no matter what you drive (or ride, motorbikes are of course welcome), please pass this invite on to your car clubs, owners clubs, friends and colleagues, it is the mix of makes and models that makes this event so exciting.

Working with North Yorkshire Police to ensure another safe and enjoyable meet we will have a one-way traffic system in place to keep things flowing, please follow the guidance of our marshals. As the event has grown we are also working to provide improved catering and toilet facilities.

Please add your name to the list (click quote on the last post, remove the [ quote=} tags, add your name at the bottom of the list and click submit).

See you there!

It is looking like another bumper turnout.

Please can you all take note of our one way system which will be in force at the Yorkshire Big Breakfast to make sure the event runs smoothly.

We're going to fire up one of our Formula One cars at 12pm, not to be missed.

This time tomorrow the event will be in full swing.

We're set for a record turnout, and all sorts of interesting cars and bikes, we've got the usual bacon and sausage sandwiches and also a hog roast (Nom nom nom)!

Very cold up here, and coming home late last night the roads were getting icy.
It is quite fresh, was 3 degrees on my way in from Scarborough at 5.30am.

And to the person who did, one day i hope to meet you as i owe you. But for today think about why we/i were there, for charity. Due to your actions my car will not be coming to Malton again, so think of the future generations of car enthusiasts who will not see a LY V6, clearly, i hope people agree, you are not the sort of person we want at this event.
We're appalled to hear that happened at our event.

As you'll know we have a state of the art bodyshop here at Specialist Cars of Malton, if you would like to give us a call (01653 697722) we'll get the car in and sorted, at our expense.

I hope it won't put you, or anyone else, off coming to our future events as I am sure it is an isolated occurrence.

Mark, Sales Manager, Specialist Cars of Malton.

Top marks to Mr Mullen for that offer! clap

Would it be worth having a few marshalls patrolling the site for the next meet in Easter just to make sure there are no scrotes mucking about? A tad extreme I know but given the popularity of the event its unfortunatley going to attract a few imbeciles.
There was at least 8 off-duty cops wandering about that I know of, plus our guys, if anyone had seen anything it would have been sorted.

Over 3000 people came, the absolute vast majority of them behaved themselves, to have one incident in an event of this size I think is a credit to those who attend.

Let's not let this one event cast a shadow over what was, for very nearly everyone, a great morning out.

I liked the yellow RX7 too, had an FD myself some time ago, a black '92 with red leather.
