My plan of seeing an F40, F50 or Enzo last year failed, maybe this year.
Are you looking for in the wild spots or do car shows count? I've managed to spot a few F40's in the wild in Leeds, and somehow managed to spot an F50 in the wild in London. Spent a fair bit of time drooling over Enzo's at a few different Ferrari days at Silverstone.carlove said:
I'm talking in the wild. I've seen an F40 and Enzo at Beaulieu a few years ago, stunning cars.
I've seen that a few people have spotted an F40 in Leeds but I rarely go there and don't want to go round aimlessly on the off chance that I'd see one.
I did see a Zonda in York before I joined here, which is my best spot in Yorkshire ever, I wouldn't mind seeing another.
It's a case of luck. The F50 spot in central London was pretty immense. Would be nice to see an Enzo in the wild. Leeds seems to have a large amount of nice metal hidden away. Spotted a 288 GTO on the Ring Road near Moortown a few years back and was shocked.Yet to spot a Zonda in the wild, would be an awesome spot though! Spent some time drooling over one at H R Owen a few months back and they are insane. Silver R36 estate with a Northern Irish plate going down my street yesterday. Pretty rare!
I keep spotting a blue R36 estate in the West Park/Adel area. I agree, they are pretty rare.kinabalu said:
Heh guys, can someone please clarify for me re this thread, now a new one has started.
Perhaps naively, I have been under the impression to be spotted, you must be bearing a PH sticker, isn't that the point, as 2013 appears to mostly be 137 pages of today I saw a Vauxhall Vectra?
Asked in all innocence.
The thread has two purposes. The first one is to mention and discuss any interesting car spots, the second is to mention and discuss and fellow ph'ers that you have spotted. It would be a rather short thread if we only ever posted about spotting fellow ph'ers with stickers. I'm sure there are a few members who haven't been spotted despite having a pistonheads smiley on their car(s).Perhaps naively, I have been under the impression to be spotted, you must be bearing a PH sticker, isn't that the point, as 2013 appears to mostly be 137 pages of today I saw a Vauxhall Vectra?

A couple of Bentley Arnage's recently. A blue one parked near Leeds Kirkgate market yesterday afternoon and then a maroon one going down Kirkstall Road this afternoon. Also spotted a couple of 3rd gen Saloon WRX STI Impreza's recently, both without the spoilers unlike Mr Logbert's lovely example.
Spotted another 3rd gen WRX STI saloon today, white with low profile rear spoiler on Spen Lane in West Park. Also saw a blue California on Otley Rd in Adel near the car wash. Short private plate that started with AK, asian driver. Possibly Afzal Khan of Khan design fame? Seemed to be standard which was odd.

What car have you got? I live very close to that roundabout if you pass so will keep my eye out
Shnozz owns a silver Exige I believe.Saw a rather menacing C63 AMG Black series today on Spen Lane waiting at the lights to join the ring road, heading towards Horsforth. White with black wheels, the carbon fins on the front and the rear spoiler just completed the evil look. Very nice!

C63 Black in white with all the aero on Leeds ring road. Turned up Otley rd towards Adel at Lawnswood roundabout. Looked amazing. The GP wasn't up to temp to start chasing you unfortunately
The same one I saw on Monday, the styling is awesome. Looks so menacing! I'm guessing its local, hoping to see and hear more of it.Spotted what seemed to be a grey E90 estate in Bradford with fake police lights on the roof. The dick driving fired the lights up on a side street, they were clearly aftermarket lights just bolted on to the roof. Nothing like the actual discreet lights on unmarket cars that you get in the grill and rear shelf.
E63/64 M6 in Silverstone II near the Horsforth roundabout this morning, green Focus RS MK2 at the same spot an hour later. Matt grey 986 Boxster cab on Spen Lane this afternoon. Another R8 (not sure which variant as it was heading in the opposite direction) on Kirkstall Rd this evening.
Fiat Panda 100hp in high vis green/yellow in Headingley on Monday morning. White 100hp again in Headingley this morning. Audi S2 on a side street in Headingley this morning.
Comically modded black E46 at the shopping complex in Birstall this morning. Reg check shows it to be a 330i auto. Fake M3 vents, large canards on the front bumper, rather long M3 style aftermarket exhaust, what seemed to be a larger clubsport style spoiler, white rollcage and loads of stickers.

Forgot, the other day saw a white Merc C32 AMG estate near Lawnswood roundabout. Awesome
It looks like a great Q car until you spot the (standard) quad exhausts. I rather like the unwashed look though. On a different note, has anyone else the increased police presence around Headingley, Hyde Park, Woodhouse, Burley and Kirkstall. I've seen a lot more patrols than normal in the past few days, and more cars being stopped.
