Yorkshire Air Museum
Discussion
It's not expensive really - just don't expect a top notch, top of the range attraction - And take a picnic as the facilities are limited (there's an Asda up the road anyway).

It's £14.Something for a family ticket which I think is reasonable.
The shop stocks more Airfix models than I've seen anywhere too - I was tempted to buy one and I don't even build them (or have the skill - or patience for....)

I've never been to South Yorkshire Air museuem but I have been to Yorkshire Air Museum which is excellent. They have fairly big grounds. My 2 year old ran around while I looked at the planes.
Theres a victor a nimrod, a couple of bucaneers Tornado a halifax, dacota. A lot of their stuff is started and the victor is taxi'd occasionally etc its well worth a visit.
Also Newark (just down the A46) is well worth a visit - shackleton, Vulcan, etc. Theres a fair bit more inside at Newark too.
If you fancy going further affield East Kirkby is well worth a trip. They have a running lancaster which taxi's - you can even have a ride in it if you book months in advance and have enough £. They do an airshow and props and pistons which is a car show with a small airshow and lancaster taxis too.
If you still follow me on twitter (@darrenleenewman) I can send you a few pics of Newark as I've been recently.
