Italian restaurant York

Hi, I'm staying the night at York at the end of the month and need recomendation for a nice Italian restaurant, Im not after the ' rustic ' type place but would prefer something a bit more trendy if that's the right word, but it needs to be good. Preferably near the centre as I'm stopping somewhere about a 10 minute walk away or short taxi ride away. Thanks

Haha, I didn't want to start an argument 😁 as already said, there's a Piccilonos in Sheffield so not really bothered about going there. I'll have a look at some of the suggestions given. Thanks for the recomendations btw

As before, we've got an Ask in Sheffield so don't really want to do a 'chain'. Just something a bit more upmarket for a birthday treat. Ps, think we're stopping at the Marmaduke? Is it any good?
