There has been such a good response to this thread it's brilliant.
I would definately be up for a meet but would rather meet somewhere nice rather than just in a car park, also I think many people would agree that perhaps B road run would also be a good laugh. Unfortunately this weekend is a no go for me as I try to locate a knocking noise from my engine (long story not for this thread) as well as reseat my exhaust /sigh lol

Ok so a lot of people are leaning toward next weekend which would be the 1st June if Saturday.
What about a location for this meet?
Where are people wearing their PH Decals then? I am usually about in my Cavalier Turbo so please feel free to wave my decal is on the front bumper which isn't the best for fellow PHers to notice but there ya go. Once we have a meet and put faces to cars it will be easier to recognise people
If the weather is nice should we take a BBQ? (depending where we all meet of course)
If we do a B road run anyone have some suggestions where we could go etc?

Brilliant, the response seems to be really good so far. Can we get a few more people involved? The more the merrier.

Hello all! Often see a few Smileys kicking around Aberdeen. More than i thought! Im Peterhead based so nae too far fae Aberdeen There to visit my Fiancee regularly. If u see a Swift with an orange "Crail Pig" on the back window kicking around its me Actually away to buy a Smiley myself if possible today for the back of the car. Do like the sound of that route next Saturday as i enjoy those roads. Random driving for the sake of it when funds allow is great! One of the best drives ive ever had was up in Inverness in March. Was meant to be a 30 mile or so trip past Loch Ness to a village that ended up 115 miles in total. Not a bad way to spend a morning!
Would love to come along to a meet sometime but I think the little Copper Suzuki would look out of place! Haha
I say you should just come along, this is Piston Heads no car looks out of place I'm sure people will agree abouts a shared passion for cars and an enthusiastic approach to them. Copper Suzuki GOGO!Would love to come along to a meet sometime but I think the little Copper Suzuki would look out of place! Haha

I'm in Brechin, not that close but close enough
Been on here more than 2 years and have never been to a PH meet!
A bit off topic, Yanayaya does your mum have a Fiesta ZS? I'm sure I used to see that Cav sitting beside it

If you are officially coming along mate please add your name to the list so we know.
Yes my folks own a Fiesta ZS they allowed me to store my car down there whilst I was doing some work top it, you aren't the person that stole the intercooler off of it whilst it was there are you? The week before I moved it back to town some monkey had stolen the intercooler.
Here is the list so far:
Date: Saturday 2nd June.
We have two suggested routes and I'd like to know which one people would prefer to do.
Route A:
Aberdeen -> Banchory -> Ballater -> Strathdon -> Aberdeen
Route B:
Plenty space in the car park to meet at Makro, run out the South Deeside road all the way to Ballater. There's a lay-by just West of Ballater that would make a good stopping point to allow a re-group. From there up to the Lecht Ski Centre, again, good open road, and plenty space to stop for a chat, allow eveyone to catch up, before heading back through some country roads to Tarland and on to Tesco Westhill for the finishing point (or somewhere else around there with enough space). (Thanks to martinj46 for this suggestion)

8: Mark(RSi) - MR2 Roadster
9: Johnny (JS1500) - Audi B5 RS4 (if fixed) or MGB V8 Roadster
10: Jeremy (Jayho) - Suzuki ignis sport if I can make it.
11: Andy (Standfree) - Mazda MX5
Other things to consider:
1: What time do people think we should meet prior to the drive?
2: Fill up your tanks with fuel, we can organise stops as well.
3: Should we take a BBQ???
4: I will have my camera but would encourage others to please take theirs.
If you have not put your name down but would like to come please add it to the list via a quote.

Well, my Chim looks good at a distance, but she's got lots of battle scars! and some 'Vandal scratches' when I left her parked overnight in Swansea City centre Grr!
As for collecting insects! Arrgh! every wasp / bee / fly / midge thinks my car is one great big sunflower! and even as I polish the paint work they land all around where I'm polishing!
My first meet also, so looking forward to it for sure.
I feel your pain having falling victim to vandalism myself, I have a lovely key down the side and a dent in the rear quarter plus they tried to break off both wing mirrors. Thanks minks two thumbs up for that.As for collecting insects!
