77MPH Speeding ticket M74

I see in News this morning David Platt gone ticketed for 77MPH on M74 at Abington

So much for the Speed + 10% error plus a bit more Guidelines

Was under impression APCO guidelines were 79mph & above was where you started gatting points or worse

Was in Record and Herald on Thursday but cant find it

No Your speedometer could both underread or overread by 10% so you could be sitting with 70mph on Speedo and be doing anything between 63 & 77mph

Did not say they did just saying there's a tolerance allowed. Manufacturers make sure they overread so they cannot be blamed if you are caught speeding
