Any opinions?

Mrs drab and I are looking to escape the city centre and the houses here seem like great value compared to other suburbs.

I'm curious about the commute, any gyms, quality of golf course and number of chavs roaming the streets.

Educate me PH

I did have a look there also, dunno why but something put me off inverurie. I'll have a nosy on aspc.

I heard that they might be opening a train station at kintore too which could be handy.

Thanks all, very helpful! The commute times are actually better than expected, and it'll give me a good excuse to get a 2nd car for myself... :-)

I'd happily go as far as insch but the other half definitely wouldn't!

Lack of amenities isn't a big concern, as long as the takeaways are dirty enough I'll be happy...

Cheers all, sounds promising. I'll take a spin out that way at the weekend and have a look around...

I did consider Blackburn as well, seems nice enough and the houses are a similar value.

I've never lived in suburbia before. I'm guessing its just like an american sitcom. I'm excited!

I travel between Elgin and Aberdeen fairly regularly so I'm familiar with the driving standards on that road... Its not the best!
