Hi Guys,

Just purchased a Peugeot 308 for the wife and wanted to get a good service done on it including brakes. The car has been generally kept really well and is a very clean low millage example but I don't think servicing was a priority.

Noticed this on many many many small cars.

The car needs all fluids, filters, oil change done and I want all the brake discs and pads done too as they are shot.

I am looking for a peugeot specialist but it doesn't need to be, just want a reliable mechaic who cares and will actually do what they say they will do, I want a full brake fluid bleed and replacement, power steering fluid top up, full oil change, all filters changed etc etc.

Any recommendations would be greateful.

Thanks

I ended up going to Peugeot Ecosse and spoke with greg and met him when I went to take the car for a service.

I have to say it was a real pleasure to meet him and talk to him. I have been in the fortunate postition of having a few nice cars of my own experiencing BMW, MERC, AUDI, Vauxhall, FORD main dealers and specialists and this guy is right up there with only one of my fav BMW Main dealers in Irvine.

Greg knew everything about everything and was so honest. I literally chewed his ear off to say I think all the discs and pads need done and he could have agreed and gave me a price but instead told me the truth and said part of it was ok with the rest did need replaced. Said I would easy get another 5k miles.

Lovely lovely guy and a true gent. I travelled 120 mile round trip and was worth every mile.

As others have said not the cheapest but knowing someone who really cares about the car looked over it and made sure his staff looked over it correctly means a lot to me.

At the end of the day it doesn't matter what car you have you should always look after it because firstly, it is an important tool in any family household and secondly its used by my wife to take our young son around and would not take any risk regarding safety of a vehicle.
