Me and Mrs Chimp are heading through to Glasgow tomorrow.

We are staying in the citizenM for 2 nights as we have Lionel Richie gig in the Hydro tomorrow and Spandau Ballet in Hydro on Sunday.

This means we have Saturday during the day and night free, as well as Sunday during the day.

The car is getting left in Buchanan Galleries car park so I don't want anywhere we need to drive to, but i'm looking for things to see and do, and places to eat/drink.

I thought about the gallery of modern art in Queen St for a wee while on Sat, maybe Princes Sq for a neb. Maybe Science Museum on Sunday.

Been told Merchant City good for food.

Anything absolutely brilliant that we are missing out on by not going to?

Cheers,
Chimp the Edinbugger

Thanks for all the info/recommendations guys.

Mrs Chimp and I had the most amazing weekend, thoroughly chilled out.

We had the Lionel Richie gig at the Hydro Friday, then Sat we went shopping, visited GOMA, stopped off at the beer cafe in Merchant Square for a pie & pint and walked along to the People's Palace for a bit.

We didn't appreciate how busy the eateries are in Glasgow on a Saturday night, but we ended up in Gourmet Burger Kitchen and the food was actually really nice.

Yesterday, a bit more retail followed by a couple of drinks in Walkabout watching the football then finished with the Spandau Ballet gig in the Hydro last night.

CitizenM was as quirky as ever but gave us a handy central base and Mrs Chimp had a great weekend after some tough times recently so thanks again for the pointers.
