How come there never seem to be any boats that come up as far as the city centre? I know there's not really anywhere to stop and have lunch but I'd have thought some people might have cruised up just to get a different perspective of the city. Is there something stopping them?

It's filthy!

See my video here, look how brown it is at the Transport Museum:

There is a fast boat that gives joy rides up and down the clyde. However there aren't many (that I know of) places to actually tie up a boat.

Plus i'm not sure if the sea plane restricts things too?
Very nice video!

I know it's not the nicest river in the world but there are plenty of boats going up and down all parts of the Thames and it's not exactly the nicest either. I just wondered if boats weren't allowed up or maybe had to pay?
