Following from the PPS and JD Motors threads, I might be an idea to list places where we can take our cars or have work done on them with confidence? Let's NOT have it descend into a list of 'ooh don't go there' though, more a list of places where you personally have received good service.

I'll kick off with the aforementioned and some more:

PPS Glassfibre:
glassfibre, carbon, powder coating etc,
Inverurie

JD Motor Engineers:
servicing, repairs etc,
Insch

MH Engineering:
suspension guru, tuning, race car set-up and prep etc,
Inverurie

Gordon Smith Car Repairs,
servicing, repairs etc,
Daviot nr Inverurie

C&M MacDonald,
servicing, MOTs,
Oldmeldrum

Polished Bliss,
valeting, cleaning product supplies etc,
Kintore

Not heard anything good, I have a mate who has used Lakefield Classics and his comments can't be repeated here. I hear that Classic Restorations in Alyth, Perthshire are consummate professionals tho.

Sal.
I started this thread as a sort of database for places where people have had good experience/service etc.

Can we keep the questions and comments to another thread please?

Don't mean to put a damper on everyone's enthusiasm but there won't be a single establishment anywhere in the country that somebody doesn't recommend otherwise they wouldn't have any customers.

I can understand the reason for not wanting negative comments on forum but unless you hear from a cross section of customers it isn't really worth much IMHO.
I started the thread based on Pistonheads' terms that there is no 'naming and shaming' of places with poor service.

Therefore, to establish a thread where reports of poor service are circulated would violate the terms and conditions.

As Istoo has mentioned above, most people on here have a higher-than-average knowledge about cars and therefore, this makes this thread more worthwhile than it might otherwise be.
