Stirling Run & BBQ 25th July 2010

We are having a Stirling Run & BBQ on Sunday 25th July. This was mentioned on and prior to the last Stirling run and i think it's going to be a good yin. I'm arranging the route and flipflop is arranging the BBQ stuff.
Meet usual place at Stirling services at 09.15
Plan on leaving around 09.30
I will email everyone the route the week before. It will have directions, fuel stops etc etc.
Lunch will be a snack somewhere (or have a big breakfast) as our BBQ will start from 14.30 until around 1800.
The BBQ will be laid on for us by the "car nuts" at Broomhall Castle. There will be parking for all the cars and the cost will be £10 per head and £6.50 for kids. £2 from each ticket will go to cancer research. www.BROOMHALLCASTLE.CO.UK
We are also looking at running a raffle/auction on the day to raise more money for charity. We will be using our contacts to try and secure some good prizes - mostly car related, but anything which will raise the pennies. We will post up more info on this one as things get arranged/confirmed. If you know me or flipflop then hide, 'cause we may visit you looking for a prize!!
Robert from Broomhall Castle arranges the TVR meets in Central and has invited us to join them for the TVR BBQ on 4th July. Unfortunately i'm away, but if you want to go then email him or look under the TVR section.
If you want to go on the 25th, then stick your name down. There is of course the option to go to the BBQ or run only. We will presume you are going to both unless you tell us otherwise.

Stuart has recently opened his garage in Stiling and will offer a service for your car at a huge saving. Final details to be sorted, but expect something along the lines of free parts or free labour. Can't thank him enough, as this is a cracken prize and could be worth a few hundred £££ depending on your car. He just serviced my Audi last week for a good price, but not as good a deal as someone is going to get.

It should be a good day out. This is our 4th Stirling run, but the first BBQ. There are alaways a few runs on with Paulqv & AndrewMG looking after the Glasgow runs. They also have a meet once a month mid week. Keep an eye on the forum and i'm sure we will see you at one of the get togethers.Kenny.

Hi, everyone is welcome.For the Stirling runs we normally meet at Stirling services around 0930 and then go for a nice run somewhere. Last run was up through Glen Coe with a lunch stop. Around 220miles of driving finishing at 1530.
I've got a route planned out, which will take us up to around 14.00 hrs approx, then to the castle for the BBQ. It should be a really good day, so add your name to the list if you want to go. Any more info required then just ask.

3.My yellow banana is doing just fine and is tucked up all nice and clean in my garage.
4.Lotus dust...i wasn't aware it exsisted. I've seen some OJ dust and some Stu dust.
5.I think you need to re-read #1 & 2.
Looking forward to the 25th, just try not to hit any kerbs trying to catch up. I think you were about 5 miles behind me at the time.

It's awesome, in a same but better kinda way. 
It feels much the same to drive but the double glazing and upgraded stereo make it a much more relaxing place to do 500mile+ days and the xenon lights keep things relaxing after dark...
It also seems to be a very effective insecticide...

whos going with me ? someone has put me down for 2 for the bbq first i know of it I was going to leave the weather to flip, but you all know that Stirling runs = sunny. Even the one last November ended up being sunny, so don't worry.

Sounds like an interesting day out. Providing the tin can is on fighting form I'll make an effort to attend.

Google maps is a wonderful tool for checking route info - just takes hours. If i don't have your email address then you won't get the route, so pm me with your details.
