Has there ever been a Scottish car manufacturer?

I was once told Ascari stood for Anglo-Scottish-CAR-Industries, but i'm sure thats not true.

Also American company Buick was a Scot.

but has there ever been a fully fledged scottish designed/built car?

If not what would it be like...tartan seats, whisky bottle holder, 4-spoke alloys coloured blue & white...
