Good evening wedgers
This year’s Rusty Nail Run aka RNR VI will be held in and around Aviemore commencing Friday 26th September with the option of either 2 or 3 nights. The hotel this year is the MacDonald’s Aviemore Inn currently priced at £63 per room, per night bed & breakfast based on two nights plus if booked directly with the hotel a £10 voucher is offered to use in the bar/restaurant.

We are still exploring and defining routes although the Saturday will see a combo of mountains and sea starting with a run up to the Cairngorms then down and across to the Moray coastline on an awesome road. Sunday and Monday is still TBC but each day will involve a point to allow people to head south if required. Dining options/suggestions will be provided for the Friday and Sunday and we will look at arranging either a restaurant external to the hotel or function room with dinner at the hotel on the Saturday.

We are heading to Aviemore later this week to enjoy the snow so we will carry out further research (Bars !!!) and then later in the spring some more extensive research (hood down blasts around the area) will be conducted.

Fantastic roads, scenery and friends, both old and new, is what this event is about and the previous years are testimony to this, come rain or shine, great fun, laughter and banter will be on the menu, we hope you can join us.

Feel free to PM me if you require any further details and I can add everyone interested to a mailing list plus update PH on a regular basis.

Cheers
Hamish & Katie

Here you go, sorry for being elusive but the small matter of continually on a plane has been a pain, you name it I've been there, now in the US home Fri and away Mon back to the US but !!! between trips the TVR has been worked on and my able assistant Katie has been pitching in, photos to follow. I hope to finish travelling by the end of May, the wedge should be on the road mid May and the intent is to finalise the routes with a test run with Mike and Suzie in their Vixen when we can both hook up, so if all goes to plan routes finalised in June then we will sort out the social aspects. Once complete I will post details on the TVRCC site and hopefully more TVR’s etc will join the runs, anything from 25 to 35 cars !!!!!!!
Cheers Hamish & Katie

First run of the year in the wedge and having spent most of the year so far out of the country Katie and myself headed to the venue of this year's RNR, spoke to the hotel so that is coming together nicely and of course did a recon of some of the routes so here are some images of the views that await you.

I'm hoping I can come along to this, it would just be the one night though, arriving Saturday morning for the run and staying Saturday night.

I believe there is still space at the hotel, what would I need to do about dinner?

Cheers.
JumboBeef, it will be great if you can come along, I have sent you the dinner email so let me know your choices and names numbers and I can add it to the list, we have 46 dining so can get you in but I am confirming final details with the hotel Monday. Have you been getting my emails on routes and plans etc ?
Cheers

Nae bother we have departure points on the Sunday so you can head south post lunch if you wish, as long as you have your outfit for Saturdays picture that will be great, really looking forward to the weekend just about there with the organising and it will be great to see the usual suspects, share a few rustys and meet the new nailers, forecast is looking good as well.

Having great fun so much only time to post one picture
Missing the usual suspects but take solace that this Scottish air gave many of us headaches this morning

Fantastic video Garry, certainly put a smile on my face this wet and very windy Monday, hard to believe a week ago we were driving around hood down in the sunshine plus I see the Cairngorms had its first snow of the season.
