Engine/gearbox noise above 5,000rpm
Discussion
Engine has developed a noise from the around gearbox/clutch above 5,000rpm. Any gear, or in neutral, it's a slight rattling sound. Disappears below 5,000 and is slightly reduced if the clutch is disengaged, can't hear it from the engine bay only from inside the car. Below that speed, running as smoothly as ever.
There's also a bit of chatter from the gearbox when pulling away in first, and a slight noise when idling in neutral (goes away when the clutch is out).
Engine, gearbox and clutch are only 4,500 miles old after a rebuild, so could it be a bearing or layshaft? Could do without another big bill having spent so much in recent years. Any ideas?

Thanks Jack
Gearbox mount is new so won't be that, engine block is similar to original Capri v6 so shouldn't have issues with that either. If it's clutch related, I can live with that but surprised it should start to go after so few miles.
Will get it over to Dan Taylor soon and see what he thinks.
