350i Rear Shocks & Springs Replacements

Am after some general advise please.
The current fitted shocks are the adjustable type and although they appear to be working they do give a very firm ride indeed.
I am looking to replace both shocks ( and springs if necessary ) and am looking for something that is general road use and arse friendly... I have no intention of participating in track days but then I do not want the back end to bunny bounce when I apply foot to the loud pedal.
Any suggestions would be gratefully received.
