Found out why one headlamp won't raise - it's the bracket that holds the motor in place. Turned to dust. When the motor tries to raise the pod it just gets pushed back. Anyone know where I can source a new bracket?

Thanks both for getting back so quickly. Yes - the brackets bolt to the floor, I would attached a pic but can't for some reason. Please forward on contact details for the fabricator, I'll but a pair.

I think it was Barrington...Ziga
That's good to know. Car's effectively grounded until I can get this fixed.

Hi James,
Dont have contact dts for the fabricator, i've entrusted the old brackets to my mate, leave it to me he said, my mate can make you them.
I should get them back next week.
the guy is a retired engineer and seemingly makes bits up in his shed for mates.
We'll see how they look when i get them.

Thanks Marcus. He sounds like a very useful friend! My old bracket is so bad, there's barely anything left to copy. Can't believe it held together so long. Let me know when get the new ones, PM me by all means.

Managed to remove mine today, as expected most of it broke clean off leaving the four bolts firmly in place. They will not come off without a struggle.

Thanks to Barrington, job done. Not the easiest job to do, especially the two hours spent removing the old bolts with a drill. Here's hoping the other side doesn't fail too soon. Where would I be without PH?

(I tried to upload pics but they just won't from an iPad).
