next little issue

Afternoon All.
Possibly a little bit of a pointless post this...
Went out for a spirited drive Sunday morning, whilst driving, heard this loud bang and a series of smaller bangs right after.. with the alarm bells ringing, quickly pulled up and looked under bonnet - nothing seemed to be out of place.
Decided to walk back up the road to see what caused the noise and found a metal bracket with a small length of steel bar close by, couldn't see anything else so returned to the car and popped the bonnet again.
after closer inspection, it looks like the bracket has come from the offside ARB mounting point as there wasn't one matching the other side, it seems to be bolted at the top and welded at the bottom. however, no idea where the length of bar came from ( if at all the TVR )
I carried on with my drive albeit at a slightly lesser pace - no other noises or bangs and returned home fine.
Didnt take any pics but will do and post up.
On a different subject, I have bought replacement gaskets for the rocker covers and sump, going to book it into the garage for these to be fitted / the ARB bracket to be fixed and also my new HT leads fitted..
Further to my post regarding the Vacuum advance unit - pleased to say the car hasn't stalled since it was fitted and the timing sorted.

Didn't get the chance over the weekend to get the wedge up in ramps however, have managed to take a few pics of the bracket / ARB. The bush is missing completely so will need a new one.

The bracket looks rather deformed. Keith / Dix - Thanks again for the offers of brackets but I think I'd be happier if they were completely replaced with new bushes also. will do the bolt mod to the bottom flange also.

ps. would you drive it as is without the bracket ?? have a couple of meets within the next week and would like to attend if safe running on one bracket..
