Hi Peeps...

As I'm starting to plan for this years fest I'm looking at the agenda for the weekend..I have a potential runout plan but it means you MUST be away from the Chase by 12am the latest..I was struggling a bit to find something as most events are on the Sunday...I never saw the Formula 1 British Grand Prix on the same weekend of the fest when i was looking through their calendar last year and saw it only when i was trying to find something car related stuff for the runout...There was some classic car shows but they were restricted by times so i passed on them.

There was stock car racing at Coventry Stadium but that was after 5pm for about £12 per head....There is Karting but its £30each for a 30 minute circuit..Which is still an option but I'm trying to keep costs down but not scrimp on enjoyment.

Theres nothing at the Museum on the Saturday..There is a classic car rally on the Sunday which is £50 per car..Although there is loads of driving involved..Not sure about that...

I have found something which is historical..Not car related unfortunately but it is related in many other motoring areas...Although some not so good!... It will last for about 90 mins and cost's £12.50 per head....This one will need you to be responsible drivers..Not that you are not but it could be easily ..Easily lead you astray....Passengers maybe a little irresponsible...smile

Let me know what you think please so i can dot the "I's" and cross the "T's"..Or is that "Dot the Tea's and Cross the Eyes"....scratchchin

I will post up more as we go...

Cheers...Ziga

I thought this years car park competition was already settled. ' it's any person weighing over 15 stone who can sit in my Wedge drivers seat, and successfully shut the door and put the belt on'. Because I can tell you, I weigh less than that and it's a challenge getting in. This Wedge is mighty tight. The door cards are exceptionally wide for some reason.

yes...Thats right mate..Space has been reserved..I have to agree as I'm perfectly trimmed physique wise and even i have trouble putting the belt on with the door shut...I normally put it on with the door open a few inches..Thats the rule then..."Door shut..Belt up"..smile

scratchchin...I guess we could always have a midnight treasure hunt..Clues could be spread out during the day with links to the runout point..Some could be also around the bar area and with strategically placed characters..i:e Hotel staff....The final clues could be in the suite..It could be food related or a piece of music..Once the final clue is found there will be a time limit countdown for those who think they know where the prize is...Mmmm...Could be right laugh..It will take some setting up but I'm sure i could get my brain around it..Now then..A prize.....Ill have a think about that one...smile

Thanks Keith...I did check on Gaydon but couldn't find anything for the Saturday...There is a classic rally on the Sunday..Did look at Warwick castle..Nothings concrete yet so all options considered...
I like the Air museum...Reminds me that i need to sort out the Wedge & Wings calendar that i was going to do last year...

I will create a sticky...It will be held the first weekend of July 3rd-5th...Accommodation will need to be sourced nearby as the hotel only had 30 rooms on offer this year due to a bicycle rally the same weekend...rolleyes

Some of these might be useful...I still can't believe that we were out numbered by a "Push bike rally"..

scratchchin..Thanks Adam...Hang on i have had an idea.."Quick" everyone book under their guise..As compensation we can pay the charity money to the NSPCC and no-one will moan...I even have a brand new 3 man tent they can use..So not only will they be doing the environment a favour they will also be helping to raise more money from us...Right where's the organisers number.....

I am truly amazed. I was just reading about the cycling group and thinking these guys must be well fit.
They certainly are mate..They have agreed to do their bit for good causes..I have a treadmill generator booked for Saturday night to power our evenings lights and sound equipment which is going to be powered by 3 bicycles..I did say they could all use the Dyno...They will probably get the highest BHP of the day...hehe

I think a northern root is a good idea seeing that they are travelling south, and that their transport is the cleanest and ours is the total opposite. We don't want to be polluting their air. The evening in the hotel should be fun. They'll either convert us to use their form of transport or we'll convert them to use ours.
Tony...I think the amount of methane from all the carrots & Lettuce they will be emitting whilst completing their challenge would most certainly out weigh the amount of gases we will be popping out!..And yes we definitely want to be going in the other direction..Im certainly not going to drive behind them...hurl

I also have an idea for a compromise between us and them..It involves cardboard..(Recyclable)..And some tie bars...It won't be a "Tandem" it will be more of a "Wedgem"....

Mind you the hotel asked me last week if we can keep the noise down from 8pm onwards.....Ive only just stopped laughing....smile
