Hi chaps,

Can anyone tell me where this goes on my 1984 TVR280i...

http://www.superpro.com.au/superpro-parts/?view=pa...

The website says it is for a Tasmin front end suspensions but I have my doubts, at least I don't recognise it from pulling the car apart...

I think I have all of the others sorted, so I will post the list for anyone interested once I'm certain.

Thanks, Toby

Thanks, I thought the lower tie rod bushes were these: http://www.superpro.com.au/superpro-parts/?view=pa... but I couldn't work out why there were 8 (unless the other 4 were used on the back of an A frame car?

Yep, top one looks like a cotton reel and the bottom ones fit either side of the leading link.

I think this is the top one: http://www.superpro.com.au/superpro-parts/?view=pa...

Thanks Zig, the four in the bottom left, are they the lower ARB to tie rod bushes? two items per side of the car? One above and one below the leading link?

I think I know the answer to this but... the diff mounting bushes and the rear trailing arm bushes are NOT the same, right?

Supplementary question: Should I use rubber rather than poly for both of these bushes?

Thanks, Toby.

Thanks Zig, not too harsh over bumps etc?

Also anyone know what the bush is that goes into the diff cradle at the front, and attached to the chassis please?

Diff bushes on left (top and bottom view). Note tapered inside diameter. Odd.

The trailing arm bushes (right) are normal, if a little the worse for wear?

looking at these instead of rubber after reading that thread...thanks. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/360753289912?_trksid=p2...

Front diff mounting bush seems to be L 42mm (clip length) ID 13mm OD 38mm. Would be good if the person you recall could get in contact.

Yes I shall be using that site for reference during he construction phase of my project.

BTW I found the bush and RT has them in Nylon for 20 squid.

That completes the hunt for bushes, I've got 'em all on the way (poly not rubber) for $660 AUD (350GBP). That includes 4 trailing arm/diff bushes and all the suspension and steering ones except the chassis rear tie rod pair which look fine.

They had a collection of washers under the bolt to span the hole... V odd.

Live and learn..thanks Ian. My car has been bodged! four nice new poly bushes going into the back end soon so that should improve things somewhat...

Sounds a billy bargain to me. Looking forward to the rebuild photos. Hope all the TET bits and pieces arrive safely and the rebuild is painless. Cheers.
Much appreciated Keith, a bit of an adventure for sure, plus a learning curve! Wouldn't even attempt it without the forum.
