I had some new tyres fitted to the rear wheels for the 390's recent MOT but didn't like them, so I was searching for some others when it dawned on me that the correct size for the car is getting more difficult to find from the reputable brands, with every passing year. In the loft I've had a set of almost-new 350SE wheels sat for what must be 5 or 6 years now, awaiting the day when I might have the car resprayed; the thought occurred that if I don't get them on the car soon I might never find tyres to fit them!
So I got the wheels down, compared some tyre meerkats and plumped for a set of Toyo Proxes T1Rs.
Bizarrely, although the 225/50-15 is the correct tyre for the 390SE and the widest you can fit safely on a 7J rim, the wheels look too small for the car... but they do look bloody lovely biggrin (even if my camera is sh!t rolleyes).

eek Valance? VALANCE?! Wash your eyes out with SO4YtCH302BeNoS3 hehe
That's a WING, that is; a proper, unblended-in, hung-from-the-boot-floor, one in the eye for the Barryboys, not-just-there-for-show-even-if-we-all-know-it-is, nil-downforce-inducing, road-sh!t collecting, 9.7Kg of Blackpool's finest glassfibre WING wink

This is my wing. There are many like it but this one is mine. I must polish it as I must polish my wheels. Without me my wing is useless. Without my wing, I am useless. My wing and I know that what counts in MacDonalds car park is not the size of our subwoofer, the noise of our stupid exhaust, or the 1.6L diesel smoke we make. We know that it is the wing that counts.
