I have found a source for the plastic bushings for the gear stick , I'm hoping by replacing this the play will be reduced as I have so much movement , but how do you replace it ? it looks like I would have to remove the console above the tunnel to get to the stick , and then ???? if anyone has done this before advice would be greatly appreciated ,cheers smile

Thanks Grady and everyone for your help ....hope it work better when finished ....must say changing the clutch oil was a huge help , doesn't crunch half as bad in reverse if at all !!!

Gavin how play is in your stick now its been replaced , when mine is in 4th gear there is almost 2 inches of movement side too side ...?? Cheers Bob

well double whammy! it's both parts needed for me , the bottom bushing and the ( baseball bushing) ? I have no idea what it's called ...lol doesn't look as good as Grady's one ! no wonder is a bit on the loose side , Now time to source parts as usualbangheadwobblehurl

cheers for the help , my white lower one is at least still in one piece but it's worn so it's getting replaced as I'm there , it's a lot of cash but it's going to feel great when it's all new
