VDO TEMPERATURE GAUGE SENDER 350I

Hi Folks

Looking for a new sender for the temp gauge, the one fitted reads 40 degrees at operating temp, and I am struggling to sort it with resistors. I can source one from Merlin motorsport but there are 2 options. Does anybody know the thread size for the Rover 3.5 v8 engine?

Just as an update and information for anyone, I got the correct sender from Merlin motorsports and it is now working a treat. The item is:

The sender is located down in the valley to the left of the distributor as you look from the front of the engine.I have attached a couple of dodgy pictures, one with the brown wire connected, and the other just showing the connection.

Just to clarify, this sender will only match the VDO gauge
