Stephen,
Wish I could help with your question. I need the horizontal piece at the bottom of the glass, which has a bit of rubber like a bicycle inner tube to hold the glass. On the same side (which we call driver's side over here).
You are probably looking for the vertical runner on the front edge.
I hope somebody has an answer.
Wilf.

There are a couple of crusty bits on Poppy but that is by far the worst..
There are a couple of options...
Original

Aftermarket
http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/Item--i-MUC2322P
They have a runner rubber seal as well

Aftermarket

Cheers Mark
Expensive but ordered as no time to muck about with only a few working days before the mini rusty

Really really important question here.
How the bloody hell do you get the glass back in the runners? mine fell out last year and the glass is sat in the bottom of the door and I cant get the bloody thing back in.
my experience that the runner/glass holder has to come out, you may have to pinch the metal to ensure it grips before you tap back onto the glass (the dirt will help to locate in the correct position), pop it back on the scisser arm and lube up.......the glass runner at the sideHow the bloody hell do you get the glass back in the runners? mine fell out last year and the glass is sat in the bottom of the door and I cant get the bloody thing back in.

Is it easy to take the side window glass from the lift channel? Just pull the glass up at the rear corner and remove it?
Or is there a better way? Obviously I don't want to risk damaging the glass.
Wilf.

Wilf.
I have found the only way to remove the glass is to undo the two bolts at the bottom of the vertical runner (catch side), move it over whilst keeping hold of the glass, if like me the glass is already loose from the horizontal metal guide/holder, then pull up.
If you need to remove for any other reason the metal guide/glass holder will have to be slid over to free from the scissor arm. (you may need to take out a retaining nut in the guide but car seems different)
Cheers Mark, runner turned up yesterday (landy one - was a different runner profile but fitted and aftermarket rubber)
All fitted last night, needed to remove the vertical runner at the hinge side too to get the glass back in!
Boot lock sorted
Having to look at a back firing at 3000rpm in 3rd/4th but could be cam related
But found the Cure CD so ready for Durham this weekend
