Young Wedge Insurance

Hi all

Considering getting a 350i or 390se as a rolling restoration. However the threat of stupid insurance is proving extremely prohibitive as I'm only 18. Are there any young wedge owners out there who know whether it's possible to get reasonable insurance through anyone?

It would be a second car - No commuting to worry about and fortunately living in Sheffield so I don't think it's too bad geographically?

Sure my Dad wouldn't mind driving a V8 again, he sold his Chimaera the best part of 10 years ago and I think he misses the sound...

Is there much between the 350 and 390? I prefer the looks of the 390 but will it be much different to insure? I've read a few things about MSM?
