Yes sill covers, but it would appear I've managed to secure a pair of 390se ones which look to be ideal for my purpose, they'll save a lot of work, I was wrong asking for 400 se sills as yes I realise they are part of the body, 17 years with mine and I still can't get it correct🙄

You will still need quite a bit of work to blend them in to the wings as the 390 has small flairs, not as big as the 400 but but i would have thought it will take some skill to get right.
Cheers yes I appreciate that but with the sill covers we've now got a guide to work from, better than nothing at all.Don't want too big a flare at top of arch just enough to cover the wheel protrusion.
...and (at least on the Series 1) the flares were added to the shell by the usual GRP techniques, the factory didn't have a dedicated mould for the 390SE shell. Thus adding them would be just as hard for you as it was for them biggrin
Look under a 390 with the sill covers off and you can clearly see the edges of the additional resin/filler.
That's the plan Ian, good to hear from you mate, not done anything with that diff yet !!!!!!!!! But it's safe in my pile of bits.
