I’m thinking about buying a Tasmin 280 2 plus 2 as an everyday car – 8-10,000 miles pa and regular short trips i.e. 3 miles to and from work. Not something I’d want to do to my Griff but how would a Tasmin cope? It needs to be cheap to run – is that possible for a TVR?? I have 3 daughters so the rear seats will get used – are they at all practical?

The alternatives all seem so boring! Any advice much appreciated.

Thank you very much for your replies. It seems the biggest problem will actually be finding a 2+2. I had no idea there were so few out there.

My eldest daughter is nearly six so the rear seats should have a few years use - rear seat belts will be a must though. Are they expensive to fit? Seen one advertised in Sprint with rear belts but it was a bit more than I wanted to spend.

What about insurance?

Is the one advertised here (crystal green) a 2+2?

Thanks for the offer Ralph - I would appreciate the pic's if it's easy for you to email them (a pic of the whole car would be nice too ) Being one of only 4 in existence it seems you have one of the proverbial hen's teeth!

Thanks for the offers. I'm in deepest darkest Devon so you're all a long way away I'm afraid.

Thank you both very much for the offers - what a very friendly bunch you Wedge owners are!

I'm ashamed to say that I'm doing a charity cycle ride this Sunday and a marathon mountain bike event the following w/end so the Dorset meet is out I'm afraid. I met Paul the RO at Castle Combe and would have enjoyed meeting up again.

I've put the Dorset Dawdle/Somerset Saunter in my diary just in case I have a free w/end so might see you then - are you going?

It's a Somerset Saunter this time and is on 19 Oct.

(just realised this is the w/end of my eldest daughter's birthday so probably no go for me!!)
