Father Ted's off to view his prospective 390 purchase today. It looks a wicked buy - hope the reality is as good as the hype. Good Luck

Cragy Island to Blackpool to view a 390SE - Wonder what Mrs Doyle will make of that.

Sounds like he's coming back empty handed - chassis like Swiss cheese, engine like a babies rattle and body needing more paint than something that needs a lot of paint - basically poo even at £5k - I'm sure Father Ted will tell all and Mrs Doyle will say "will ye be having another one Father"

Use a Chimp for every day - my SEAC is a 320gg motor and non-pas & the suspension is as hard as nails(now). If I worked near by it'd frustrate me as I wouldn't use it due to the "do not rev over 2500rpm until warm" sticker and if work was a distance away you'd be knackered when you got there!! A late 450 with PAS may be more useable?

Paul,
Apologies for the bum steer - it did sound good over the phone and even more so when he said he'd let it go for £5k - he did tell me a dealer had offered £5.4k - he said he'd bought it earlier this year from the Sportscar Centre which is a bit worrying. By the time you'd buy it for £5k, get all those repairs done you'd have been better off paying good 400/450 money - see the thread ref: Steve Reid's 450.
Keep looking. The 350 went last weekend to a home in Blackpool (not one for knackered Wedges). The chap is going to do it up - I encouraged him to join us here. So down to the SEAC, the Rally Wedge(to finish) and the two pieces of tut (280&350 salvage) in the garage at home - I can feel a Wedge buy coming on but it won't be this one!
Cheers,
GB
