OK, so heres one for you. I have my 350i, high(ish) miles, not the cleanest wedge in the world but I use it for everyday transport. Have had the little monster for some time and STILL get a buzz driving her. So, to the dilemma. Do I stop shaking her to pieces on Mr Bliars wonderfully smooth roads (and putting 10K miles on her every year) or semi-retire the old beast and just use for fun? Alternatively (and my preferred option) wait until BBWF, get Mrs Flattyland surrounded by other wedgeheads, use the 350 for everyday transport and convince her that we dont need a bigger house, but must have a (just for fun) bigger wedge!?!
Just got back to check this thread and I must say youre all bl**dy 
!! However, very welcome after a 2-day business trip to Notts. The small amount of real advice there was useful. As for the wife, apart from a bit of tightening on the upholstery, I'll think I'll keep her

And as for living in a shoebox? You were lucky. We lived in t'rolled-up newspaper in t'bottom of t'septic tank....
