FHC door frames, solution!

Gents,
I may have a solution to the rusty holey problems on the window runners.
Ive now managed to find an almost identical channel profile to replace the corroded parts.
Im experimenting at the moment, but by the end of the week I should have a door frame with completely replaced vertical runners' I might even try and tease the profile into shape to do the top section.
Ill keep you informed, but If you want your runners replace Ill try and get some more of the channel profile, and Ill also help you replace the sections in return for a few beer tokens!
Ive got all the tools and a welder, so you will just have to bring up the frames.

Well, the first of my new door/window frames turned up today and it looks awesome

Ive put in in place and with some very minor alterations to the door fibreglass it slipped in and looked as though it was original equipment!!
The only downside is that because of the ammount of time it took re fabbing the tops and bending and forming channel for the window to fit perfectly the cost will not make it a viable option to make more than just the two for my vehicle, It works out about £120 a side with materials and labour time (7 Hours)
It does look good though.

Is there anyone interested in a set of frames for their FHC?
After much insistence from me for a firm price my fabricator has come up with £150 per side for a completely new frame.
This will consist of:-
2 uprights made from 'H'channel
the tops and 45 degree angle part made from square'U' section/channel
The rectangle part at the front and the angle section along the top of the door re made
Because of the way TVRs are made, the holes in the uprights and the rectangle front section will not be drilled.
The foam rubber runners on the verticles for the windows can be supplied but the top sections will need rubber fitted, so that will need to be sourced by youselves.
I am more than happy to spray them with primer and a matt blck colour as I have for my own, but this will be a simple can spray rather than anything from a spray shop, and it might be easier for you to sparay up to your own spec.
Anyone interested, please mail me, alternatively you are more than welcome to come to a TVRCC meet at tha manor farm barn for a look and a beer and decide if they are ok.
