PHEA Roadshow: Lavenham Rare Breeds - BH Monday 25th August

Good afternoon everyone.

I wish to announce the next (and penultimate!) show in the PHEA Calendar - Lavenham Rare Breeds which will be held on Bank Holiday Monday 25th August.
Information of this wonderful Event can be found on their WEBSITE HERE

I have booked us 14 spaces.

This year, we shall meet at the Church Road layby in Alpheton, next to the Alpheton Garage - MAP LINK HERE

Please could we meet at 9:30am for a 9:45am departure, so I can hand out the passes for the show.

The letter from the organisers state entry is FREE, although a £5 voluntary donation would be accepted to help cover admin costs

So let us get together our best, rarest, cleanest, most sporty and exotic machinery for our penultimate show of 2014! With very limited space, be quick to avoid disappointment

I noted from the website that the show doesn't start till midday - whilst I appreciate that the organisers need to get cars in place early before people start wandering round - 9.30 meet up does seem a tad early (I might struggle to get there as I have to drop Mrs BC to work at 9am)

In the past I've tried later entry, but queues have been a problem as has traffic on site. We'll be in a little after 10am
Plus being there before the public come in means we'll get to have a look round before the masses enter

There is the funfair - decreased in size from previous years, but it's still there so says their website. The itself is also very pretty and worth a look if all the cars become too much

Thank you to everyone who braved the terribly wet weather for what proved an enjoyable day out.

I was pleasantly surprised 6 of us turned out - I can't thank you enough. This just meant it was even more of a social occasion

It's been the first very wet show since 2012 and the first wet Lavenham for about 5 years, so we can't complain too much!
Please don't worry if rain stopped play in your P&J. Hopefully see you soon at another Event

The show itself was down on attendance, but there was plenty of interesting stuff to see.
I shall post my photos in due course

We shall of course return to this wonderful show, when hopefully the usual sunshine.

The next Event in the PHEA Calender in our FINAL Show of 2014 - Classic & Sports Cars by the Lake on Sunday, for which we still have a couple of spaces - PHEA Thread Here
