Late Summer Run - 21st September
Discussion
Here are the preliminary details of this year's Late Summer Run
The date of the run is Sunday 21st of September
Slight change to the lunch stop this year. Instead of High Lodge we will finish the morning leg at Brandon Country Park.
As usual lots of great driving roads in between covering Cambridge, Suffolk and Norfolk.
There will be two start points, one in Cambridge and one in Norwich. Each group will drive to the meet up point for lunch with another run afterwards.
Start point 1
Cambridge - Led by me
Meeting at Milton Tesco near Cambridge
https://www.google.co.uk/maps/place/Tesco+Cambridg...
10am for 10:15 (ish) start
Start point 2
Norfolk - Led by Darren (iluvmercs)
Meeting at McDonald's car park near the airport
https://www.google.co.uk/maps/search/mcdonald%27s+...
Time - 10:15am meet, 10:30 start.
Lunch stop will be at Brandon Country Park (near Thetford) http://www.brandoncountrypark.co.uk
There is a car parking charge £1.30 for up to 2 hours and £2.50 for over 2 hours (don't think they take card so bring some change)

You can either bring a picnic or eat in the cafe
We should be at Brandon Country Park at about midday if anyone wishes to join us there.
After lunch we'll split in to groups and drive cross country to La Hogue Farm Shop and Cafe near Newmarket. http://www.lahogue.co.uk/ The owner has very kindly let us use their facilities so make sure you pop to the cafe for some excellent tea and cakes
Everybody is welcome no matter what you drive (as long as you can safely keep up).
Pop your name down if you would like to attend

There is a BP petrol station in Brandon. I'd suggest if you need some you could pop over at lunch time.

Really great day and for a change we didn't get held up by much traffic. Great selection of cars with everything from mid engined supercars to ..well a Nova! And a pretty rapid Nova by all accounts.
The Hustle Bus did me proud again, not bad for a 17 year old SUV with 150,000 on the clock. However, I "might" have a new toy by the time we do the next one
Big thanks to Darren for leading and the rest of you for coming. Any feedback on the route and the end points appreciated.
Oh and did anybody else in my afternoon group pap themselves when they saw the blue flashing lights in their mirror?
