Peterborough - Parking and things to do?

I need to visit Peterborough tomorrow to get a passport.

I'll be having to hang around for it so does anyone have any suggestions on a decent (i.e. won't get my car bashed to fk) car park and is there anything there to kill a few hours?

So as it was, I went, it was throwing it down, the lady in the passport office just looked at me and laughed when I asked her "Is there anything to see or do here that will take me 4 hours?".

They're going to post the passport.

Which might be true

Queensgate simply because it seems to be the one car park in Peterborough that isn't Pay and Display which is st when you don't know how long you will be.

Seems like just another city with a shopping centre tbh, maybe on a summers day I'd have stuck around but in the pissing rain I can look in John Lewis and Primark anywhere.
