Good morning everyone.

I am pleased to announce the Next Event in the PHEA Calendar 2016 is our annual Snetterton 300 Tr.ack Day, which this year is on Wednesday 20th July

It is an MSV Trackday under their "General Track Day" format - Details for this precise Event can be FOUND HERE.
Signing on for these Events usually begins around 7:30am with a driver's briefing 8:30.

The standard price is £169. However, PHEA's very own fasteddys has been able to organise a 10% Discount for PHEA Members making it just £152.10, subject to obtaining enough fellow members to join us. We have achieved this easily in previous years, so hopeful we can do it again smile
To get this discount you MUST contact fasteddys before booking to obtain the special code. You can do this by messaging him via his PH Profile HERE.

Not only has fasteddy organised this discount, he has also been able to secure Exclusive Use of the Archie Scott Brown Facility/Scrutineering Bays for PHEA - this is situated at the end of the pit lane.
This means we have our own entrance/exit for the track, along with our own marshal and of course our own private space for cars and storage of tools, wheels, fuel, etc.
We will also supply some snacks and drinks in our own lounge and kitchen facilities at our expense.
All this makes for a special Track Day experience with a VIP atmosphere.

The daytime trackday will end at 17.00, but don’t worry, the fun will continue as we have our monthly evening meeting following on afterwards in the form of our SSM and there is an evening open pit lane track event on as usual. Anyone who cannot make the daytime and wants to do the evening as is usual for the SSM, let us know and Eddy will try to get a group discount if there are enough people.

Eddy has been told that a team will be setting up in the Archie Scott Brown Facility in the evening ready for testing the following day, so we have to vacate asap at 17.00 please so any help packing up will be appreciated.

Remember, you MUST contact fasteddys to find out how to get the 10% Discount and join the PHEA group for another superb day on the Snetterton Circuit. Once you've done this, you can book using the telephone number at the top of the aforementioned MSV Page

So if you fancy attending a well-priced Trackday with PHEA, please join us for another TRACK Event!

Once booked, it is important to let me or Eddy know by either posting on here or emailing me or Eddy directly so our list of attendees correlates with MSV’s list.

What a spectacular day!

Thank you to everyone who turned out to support fasteddys Dealer Day with the PHEA Trackday.
Great cars, as ever wonderful company and tremendous weather made for a unforgettable day out.

Thank you to Rob, Gary and Mike for the memorable laps in your cars. Revvy & Roughty little Clio, silly-fast Seat and the the beautifully balanced, power surge of the Cosworth GT86 thumbup
Karl, I hope that mad diesel Ibiza's engine issues are sorted soon when I'll again be begging you for a passenger lap or two wink

Thank you for everyone's help in set up and packing away, plus and additional thank you to those who dropped by during the day. Great to have a catch up, as always!
Of course a BIG thank you to Eddy for again arranging a fantastic experience in the ASB facility and supplying some food and drink.

I snapped away during the day, and these photos will be uploaded in due course. I will then post a link smile

Finally, thank you to those would stayed and could make it along for the evening SSM.
I'm glad to have taken the Mercedes out on track. I don't think she'll be doing it again, but what a laugh; kicking the back out on the first hair pin bend and then on to the start/finish straight. Eddy noticed we were getting some odd looks...... hehe

I was surprised how "un-bad" the car actually was. Grip was pretty good albeit with much leaning, the engine pulled well (~105 mph on the back straight, I'll have you know wink) and the brakes were surprisingly effective with very little fade. The biggest surprised for me was the sound test - it's only 3dB quieter than the RS4!
Thanks to you guys who helped spot, diagnose and temporarily repair the slight coolant leak. I am happy to report no further large leakage, but she'll be going in next week for new hoses. Apparently the ones in that specific area are the 20 year old originals!

After this track time, it was great to have a catch up in the cafe during the heavy showers smile

I think I've typed enough "Thank Yous", so that just leaves me to say, Next up will be the Breakfast Run on Sunday 31st July, details for which will be posted very soon.

See you all again soon!
