OK just looking for a bit of feedback - positive or negative to a winter "meet" idea

Meet 1

Engine builder who does race and road engines (with dyno cell)

Meet 2

Specialist manufacturer who makes component parts for some British manufacturers

Both would hopefully be outside of normal working hours (ie on a weekend)

Both are based in East Anglia

Provisional plan would be maybe meet up pre or post for a beer and a light lunch (pub grub)

Would involve potentially a little run cross county (ie starting in EA) to get to it

Poll - just to see what people think who may not want to comment although as I have said comments are appreciated

Hi Ian.
I'm in !
I could also muster a few others from my neck of the woods if you like.
Would 'Meet 1' be Scholar by any chance ?
Actually no but that's a very good suggestion but it's not a company I have any "in" with.

So some appreciation for the goals from those that have posted

I promise you one of the planned visits will blow your socks off

I called in last week to sort out a new bigger supercharger front pulley for the SLK - the boss was boxing up stuff to send out but still found the time to give me a very quick tour.... I was amazed and I think others will be too.

So one of the visits is in your back yard and it won't be a 5am start biggrin

Fantastic! thumbup
Depending on what part of the Suffolk Coast you are based.....

Worst case Senario and it's Lowestoft you might have a little coastal run down to a town with a farm machinery labelled fans of a football team

Better than a bunch of noisy 'budgies' smile
