Sorry if this post is not allowed please remove it if that's the case - I will start by saying I am nothing to do directly with this event I live about 4 miles up the road from it but just thought it might be of interest to someone perhaps if they were not even aware it existed as, to be honest, was the case for me until I moved to the Area.

We went last year in our car - there was a mix of cars last year on the day we went some classic, German, Land rover, American & a Volvo plus a load of Rolls Royce together elsewhere, last year they had the Typhoon, Spitfires, and a few planes from Duxford such as the B-17 there were military displays, crafts, food, etc.

They pre-approve those who have not been before - and it's for Classic or unusual, but it's down to the organizers if they accept the car application as I say mine is a 2014 and I can go. Strict rules about arriving and departing times, as a few caused issues a couple of years ago and they nearly decided not to run with cars again - you have to agree to the T&Cs for the event now.

Anyway, they have just opened up the applications for this year. I think the entrance works out cheaper with a car taking part, especially with a passenger (I am fairly sure it does). You can apply to be approved here:

The Main page for the Air Show is here:

This year we are going on both Saturday and Sunday mainly because its so close to us - if anyone is interested. The Area you park in is at one end of the Runway, it's a well-run, local event, and once the organizers approved the application they send a link for you to complete registration and pay for one or two days, you can attend either Saturday or Sunday or Both. It's not the Silverstone Classic and it's going to have a lower turnout of cars than some of the bigger events.

I’m a mile from old Buck airfield, on the flight path, and much of the aerobatics takes place over the field next to my gaff… the show is amazing, last two years the Typhoon came over my cottage at about (what seemed like) 500 ft… I have friends and family here for the weekend and lay on a bbq.. the OP is spot on it’s a great event… long may it go on…
Must be fairly close to us mate. We are on Foundry Corner back towards Attleborough. I know what you mean about our place was shaking last year. I took this from my mobile in our back garden. Not great but considering it was moving quickly and the camera is naff.

See the Red Arrows are there this year on Saturday so imagine it's going to be properly packed on that day. I am taking the car on both days, but as far as car events it could not be much closer. Friendly - relaxed air show similar to Little Gransden in days gone by.

That's so funny. Ah, I wondered who it might be - but we are a friendly lot around our way. It was indeed mate. I had just swapped a GPS speedo over and was checking if it was ok/working so I only caught you at the last second.

Off to do the Sheringham to Holkham run this coming Sunday so I needed to give her a bit of a runout for the first time since February when it was MOTd.
