John, I am around for this one. If you could put me down please.
I was lurking in the background, toying with coming to Rougham, but my car ends up like a mobile hot tub in the rain!
Thaks Gary, you're in In actual fact it didn't rain at Rougham at all and we even had blue skies and sun!I was lurking in the background, toying with coming to Rougham, but my car ends up like a mobile hot tub in the rain!

Hey John, Is there still room for one more? Last minute cancellation of plans this end so free to attend if space.
Yep, we'll just move up a bit I think that had better be it though.Right, important bit coming up. Lavenham is space-critical (cricket pitch + 400 cars) so you need a pass to get in; you can't just turn up unannounced and expect to wing it. Luckily they use a system of e-mail passes cunningly suggested by me a few years ago So, I'll e-mail passes directly to all listed entrants soon. All you have to do is print it off, add your details and bring it with you on the day.
Timewise, gates open at 9.00am so you can arrive anytime between then and 11.00am. I'd suggest we aim for 10.00am. One important thing - whoever gets there first, could they please act as 'batman' and make sure that the PH cars are parked as neatly as possible with no space wasted. I'll take over when I get there. Marshaling at Lavenham is usually very good so hopefully they'll have heard of PH and point you in the general direction. Accept no compromises!

can anyone bring along another entry pass as printer u/s !!
i am now going to sit and draw one!!
Not so simple as we're not meeting up first. How about going to Paul's house first and asking him to have a spare pass ready for you? Or finding a friendly neighbour with a printer? i am now going to sit and draw one!!
Neil, I've just had a call back from the organiser and she says it's OK, you can all come after all! I guess the show wasn't fully booked after all. Pity I didn't know this yesterday but I hope it's not to late for you + chums to join us. I have no idea how she's planning it but she says it's OK and that's all we need to know
Wowee, what a day! I've never seen a stand so bursting at the seams with interesting, varied and sometimes downright expensive automobilia
Thanks to everyone how turned up, especially:
Darren for the BBQ.
Andrew for the gazebo.
Neil and his 'Dereham Ratpack' for making PH the most expensive stand at the show.
The brave PHers who took their cars round the show ring.
Jane the show organiser for having such flexible rules - a breath of fresh air after Rougham.
Ferg for getting the photos up so fast!
That's the last PHEA Roadshow event until next year, but we hope to see you all again in 2009 - especially those who had to leave early. Next up is the Late Summer Run on 21st September, and I guess we need to find a new pub for the monthly meets as well.

Had a good day out although the drive home was a bit slow - got stuck behind a Griff (in case you weren't aware your offside brake light's not working John)
Yep, Paul told me about the brake light. Too bad!Drive home was largely wrecked by slow stuff unfortunately - didn't get past the last of the numpties until 2 miles from home!

thanks for making us all so welcome and managing to bend the rules so we could all get on to the stand
Rules are made to be bent Delighted you all made it and we hope you can come to future PHEA events. You can track them here or at www.phea.co.uk.
PHEA (Pistonheads East Anglia, a material offshoot of a cyber-community) is coordinated by myself and Ian V; we have a mailing list for e-shots so if you'd like to be included just mail me via my profile and we'll add you.

Always trust PHEA to put on a good show!!!!
On the strength of that showing they might give us more room next year!
As for the convoy of odd cars to confuse the announcer.......
I thought the announcer always got confused, did he think that Patrick's GT was worth £3 million again this year? On the strength of that showing they might give us more room next year!
As for the convoy of odd cars to confuse the announcer.......
BTW next year I need to promote the info sheets again - then you can just give them to the announcer and he reads them out

Although perhaps I should consider turning up in something that might be more in-tune with the announcer's interests - might make for a long journey from London though.
You could borrow Dave's 1908 Codger-Bealey next year.Although a few quick sums tell me that you'll need to leave this afternoon!

Finally, the photos....all in a sperate thread...
Thanks Darren - all nice pix but this one needs a health warning:I think you're the only PHer to have attended ALL the shows and as such richly deserve a special medal at the Christmas Dinner.
Unfortunately we haven't got any more medals, but I just wanted to let you know we'd thought about it
