M25 , New cameras !

My wife told me about these and that they were flashing at around 71-2 mph.( her normal sort of Mway speed )
We checked these out at about 1 am New Year's Day as we drove past virtually alone .
They are between the A10 and M11 , and are located on the near side of the existing gantries , and are clearly an afterthought tacked on a grey steel sticking out to the left with what like 2 camera housings.
We didn't see any flashes as we were alone , but she said the day she first saw them she saw flashes from both sides of the motor way .
They also seem to be associated with the odd square Led displays that lay laterally along the central reservation. These are odd to as they point sideways along the carriage way , but at night you can see they are powered up with a rather harsh red LED telltale illuminated .
So what is it all about ?
