Canada Park Passes

Can anyone shed any light on this, we bought the park pass as we do every 2 years (we reuse the next year) but this year we seem to have 2 taped together?

Both are from the same booth in Banff and have sequential numbers?

Did they make a mistake or has it changed to, 2 passes?

It / they still cost the same as usual so unsure what to think.

That is why I asked as I didn't notice until we returned as it is normally one stuck on the mirror and forgotten until next year but putting it away I noticed it.

In the last 10 years it has only been a single pass.

That's what confused me as we have always had a single I suppose family pass even though there has always only been 2 of us.
