Hi All,

Not sure where best to post this, so thought I'd try here.

We're looking at moving to Lingfield from Wallington. We like what we see there, nice and small, easy commute to London and a few nice houses around.

Interested in insights from anyone that lives there or knows the area? Anywhere we should avoid? Anything we should know?

Cheers!

Cheers folks.

My wife will be commuting to East Croydon every day. I normally work from home, and maybe once a week need to get up to London.

We saw a couple at the weekend and have actually put an offer in on one of them, but so has someone else so we're waiting to hear from the vendors at the moment.

It certainly seems like exactly the sort of nice quiet place we're looking for, so fingers crossed!

Good place for plane spotting

Isn't it on the Gatwick flight path?
Yup, some of them turn over it I believe. We spent Tuesday evening there and most of Saturday and didn't find it too bad.

Anyway, too late now, we've had an offer accepted. biggrin

Cheers folks. We had our offer accepted, just waiting for them to find a place now.

We've been sampling the local pubs. smile

Just wanted to come back and update you all.

We moved in just before Christmas and so far we're loving it. The rain made things a little interesting, but it's so much nicer here.

I genuinely can't recall the last time I heard a siren from the house. Neighbours are lovely - we were met with champaign and cake on the day we moved in!

Overall very happy.

Now I have a drive, time to get saving for something nicer to put on it! smile

B2028 from the race course to Mill Hill Hartfield Road is one we've enjoyed on occasion, and Rabies Heath Road on the way to Merstham have both been fun, but I'm certainly open to suggestions chaps!
