Karting event!

Right, not done this for a while. Please post your names below if you are interested. Can you also put 'weekend' and/or 'weekday' after your name to indicate if you would prefer karting on a weekend or weekday. This may help boost numbers as last time a number of people couldn't make a 6pm start.

The circuit has not been sorted yet but as soon as I have enough interest I'll sort that out. Expect a cost of around £40.00.

Thanks, I was thinking of it but was also going to look for other options. We may be a bit limited as, iirc there is an electric kart cicuit in Reading, an outdoor (but pricey) one at Sandown and then another Teamsport in Crawley.

Yes it does, I work near Basingstoke so I'll have a look at that one and also give Sandown a call.

Ok, noticed a new track I Basingstoke. Its only been open since July and looks nice, plus the track is very big as you can see. Cost is £40-£45. It's not definate that we'll go here but thought you'd be interested anyway...(video first)

UPDATE!

Karting looks best at Basingstoke/Maidenhead. Both are big indoor circuits (helpful given the potential weather) and are run by the same company (www.absolutely-karting.co.uk). See pics on this thread.

Best date they can do is SUNDAY 13 JULY in the morning. This day should suit as many people are possible.

Format is:

• PRACTICE
• 4 X QUALIFYING HEATS
• FINALS

The cost is just £45.00 however, they need a deposit very soon after I reserve it (within 5 days) and I need 15 people as minimum.
SO...if you are up for a bit of automotive fun please add your name below and drop me your payment by PayPal ([e-mail]) or direct bank transfer (contact me for details). If we don’t have enough numbers then I’ll just refund so don’t worry about this.

Both circuits are available at the moment and so, for the people who pay, please let me know your preference and I’ll go with the majority.

Friends, colleagues, family members and partners are welcome too but you need to vouch for them and their driving. The event should take 1.5-2.5 hours. Also, if you are members of any other car clubs feel free to post this to them too.

Yep, everyone always seems to have a good time and you'd think that petrolheads would jump at such an event. Oh well...worth a try.
