Hi Guys, anyone on here know Oxford well? I have a meeting tomorrow at Oxford University Press (OUP) in Walton Street in the Jerico area. I've heard there's some pay & display in the back streets around there behind the Press but I don't want to wind up spending half an hour driving round looking for a space. Anyone know that area and what's it like getting parked mid-week / mid morning around 10:00am? I know Oxford is a nightmare for cars but driving is easiest for me. scratchchin Thoughts?

Thanks, I guess I'll have a tour round Jerico and see if there's a Pay & Display space if not go to one of the car parks.

Gloucester Green underground car park worked fine thank chaps, £7.50 for 3 hours and half empty when I arrived. Mind you with that in mind, as I was paying some Americans in a hired Ford people carrier were trying to squeeze into a small gap between another car and a side wall. "Go on, go on" shouts the chap at his wife doing the driving when suddenly smack, she reverses into the back wall at the back! Why do people do this when half the car park was completely empty. Then on leaving as I rolled to stop at a red light with a crossing a middle aged woman glares at me and mouths "fk Off!" presumably because the PDK made some burbling noise as it dropped into 1st but I was quite shocked at how angry she was. This while completely ignoring the cyclist who flew stright through behind her and in front of another pedestrian at full tilt on the red as if it's an everyday occurrence. Funny place Oxford. laugh
