Car decisions - time to sell the 911...
Discussion
Hey SAS crew,
I am not using the G33 or the bike as much as i want to, and i fancy an automatic with plenty of space as my next daily driver (start a new job on Oct 1st) so i am considering selling the 911 and getting something else.
So, assuming a budget of between £8k and £15k, it has to be an auto and it has to be an estate, and it has to be *interesting*, i am thinking:
Merc E55 AMG estate
Merc C43 AMG estate
Audi A6 4.2 Avant
BMW 330i Touring
Anyone got any comments, or any other suggestions? The E55 is my firm favourite at present...

Also Pete do you park the 911 in the multistory next to the railway station in MH? Just seen a car similar to your there?
MH?Well having debated 330 touring (expensive!), C43 estate (good value), and E55 estate (tremendous value) and Audi S6 (not bad but doesn't stir me), tomorrow i am off to see the car TC mentioned.
E55 wagon, black/black, satnav and all the gubbins, 67k miles, £11k (trade).
Since i am going to Cambridge first to look at shiny round bits of jewellery it could be an expensive day...

Nothing due, had the 993 for more than a year so it was almost inevitable i was going to get itchy feet (again!). Plus i don't drive the G33 or ride the bike as much as i should because it's too easy to just take the 911. An auto wagon will be more practical when i need it, more relaxing for commuting and long distances, and will make the G33 and the bike that much more special when i use them (which should be more often!).
INIT??
INIT??
Don't mind Ben, if he takes the piss that means he likes you.
Welcome to PH!
Yeah, had the E34, considering the E39, but a good 540i Sport touring is significantly more money than the E55 or C43 and i don't think it's worth the extra. Ditto the 330i Sport touring. And don't even get me started on the 330d!!!
The search continues, but having spent a good chunk of money ordering three rings yesterday i was more impressed by the C43 than the E55. Shame the V8 S4 is still so much money...

I am actually quite tempted by this one... being in Dundee being the downside.
Expensive compared to the car i'm looking at in the morning - C43 Estate with 50k miles for £11kI am actually quite tempted by this one... being in Dundee being the downside.
