It woke me up! Strongest one I've ever felt.

Well I can recall waking up thinking "Is my bed moving?" and looking around realising it was! Then I promptly went back to sleep. Surprised that I did'nt find it more alarming really.

I doubt anyone would have noticed much in SE England. I felt a wobble and thought, "I bet someone will have posted on PH." It was a wobble, that's all. People are acting like it's the end of the world. I think it shows how many people lead dull, meaningless lives.
Gee thanks. I was really worried the end was nigh! yikes Earthquakes a common occurence around your way then?

I've felt one before in Nottingham about 5 years ago. Was just one big thump and that was it, a lot of people didn't even notice it. This was enough to wake me up and to feel the room shaking. I was surprised the epicentre was as far away as Lincolnshire.

It is weird. I'm in a 2nd floor flat, with the bedroom effectively on the 3rd floor, so perhaps this exagerated the movement for me? I spoke to a friend who lives in Reading too and he did'nt notice it at all.
