Hi Guys,

I have a young dog, 18 months, Shih-Tsu x Bichon Frise that I need to rehome. My wife has started working again and he doesn't like being at home alone in our flat. It's not fair on him and we really want to get him a home where "mom" (or "dad") doesn't work or there can be somebody home with him. A garden would be a plus, he has a lot of energy! I will give him free to a suitable family, cost us £600, but I would rather he go to a good home and am happy to sink the cost.

Question is, how do I find a good home for the little guy? I don't want to send him to Dog's Trust or another associated organisation because I feel that he would be taking the place of some poor stray thing with greater need.

Any suggestions welcome. I am pretty upset about this so thanks in advance for the random abuse etc that always happens smile

Yes guys. I am taking him to visit Kinky and family (could be Kinky and zoo biggrin) tomorrow. Tallbloke has also been just fantastic and if for some reason Chops doesn't get on with Clan Kinky (or visa versa), then I'll be taking him to visit Tallbloke in the next few weeks.

Many thanks... and those pictures of Sugar and Alfie really made me smile smile

A quick update ...... as it would appear we have some folks with baited breath ....

Well, Shabs and Mrs. Shabs (a truly lovely couple) came, along with Chops.

3+ hours later, Shabs and Mrs Shabs have left ....... and Chops has stayed bounce

He's a lovely lovely, friendly, happy, playful dog thumbup

He loves Kinky Junior, Homer (our dog), and has met the 2 rabbits. Topaz the cat has loitered, but has not really shown her face properly as yet. No spits or claws so far.

I'll post some pics shortly - if he stays still for a few seconds to grab one hehe

Thank you Marty and Astrid - I truly cannot express that enough.

K & the family Kinky.
Well Kinky and family Kinky, we made it home with lots of tears. That deranged laugh that you must have heard outside your house was me after Mrs Shabs looked at me with a tear stained face half hidden behind dark glasses and whimpered, "do you want me to drive?".

Thank you guys so much for taking Choppies, he is a lovely boy and we both miss him dearly, but I could see him bonding with Kinky Junior and I hope those two will be best mates for a long time to come. You guys are a great family and we feel lucky to have found a perfect place for our little boy to grow up / old.

Thanks also for lunch and sorry for being so late that we had to impose on you! Please keep the Shabs family updated on how Chops is going.

Tallbloke, thanks for your help and also for being a top bloke.

Shabs (and Mrs Shabs too) - just for you both .... the first installment.

I'll keep this up to date - but please note I've had to time to tidy up the pics - they are as is ....
Thanks mate, much appreciated (and more tears from Mrs Shabs wink she is really glad he is happy)! Amazing how such a big heart and big personality can fit in such a little dog! I think I see the beginnings of a beautiful friendship between Chops and Kinky Junior. Do please keep us updated and look forward to catching up at a PH meet in the future.

I think it's time then for some updated mugshots of the little criminal, maybe even with a trophy or two?
