Ok, we'll try to re-run the hoon on the 25th of January, weather permitting (no point doing it if it's icy again). Sign up if you're interested below:

Ice dependent - as are we all I assume. The roads are so unpredictable at the moment that it would be suicidal to hoon when it's bloody -9!

ive been reading this forum for a while now and would love to tag along for one of your hoons but looking at the pics from previous outings you all seem to have expensive cars and i only have a integra type r. its a great car but its no porsche
They're not all Porsche Turbos, and no one minds what you turn up in, its the attitude you turn up with.

Last hoon I drove my Suzuki Swift Sport, and it was ok - I had to use every bit of the 125bhp, but it surprised a few people, me included.

I'll try and send around the info this weekend. Those of you who didn't come to the last one (and I don't already have your email), can you email me through my Pistonheads profile so that I can reply with the tomtom itn. attachment.

Thanks

I'll be emailing the details around tonight. I've booked the same place as last time for breakfast, as I thought it was tasty and good value too.

It's booked for 20, so it should be fine.

Robatron smile
Hasn't got his name on the list, although he's very welcome to come along.

I think we should call it a day with the 27 people we have signed up so far, any more and things will get silly!

90 miles in 3 hours? Is there a separate group for those wishing to hoon? hehe
It was for people with valve chest problems :P

It is taking into account stopping for breaks etc... (we have 2 stops lined up). Last run we were there for just after 9 and missed out about 1/3 of the route, although it was icy.

We need to have a contingency plan if it's icy. I say if the met office forecast anything under 2 deg. C for Devizes (on the night before the run) it's not worth doing the run.

Weather looks like 'heavy rain' at the moment. Lets hope that changes!

i think we will be ok tbh

http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/ukweather/south/rain....

what is the foul weather plan? still doing the whole route? some of the route then going for breakfast? or just going straight to breakfast?

i dont mind whatever we do smile
I think the plan will be to drive some of the route to breakfast, or if we drive the M4 to hungerford then I'll text you and warn you. We can't get to breakfast too soon though, so i'll have to phone and warn the 3 Swans if we change plan.
Why is weather so much of an issue?
Last time the ice made even Nathan slow to a crawl. It was fine up until the plains, where everyone's cars promptly headed for the nearest ditch. Following a 599 slewing towards the edge of the road was quite a worrying position to be in!

Looks like it might be a bit wet tomorrow, but at least it won't be icy.

Should be ok, but I can't guarantee it. As it looks like it will rain, a couple of people may not turn up anyway.

I'm off to bed now as I had a late one last night. See you all tomorrow.

Cheers for the good turnout again everyone, despite the weather I still really enjoyed it.

Hope to see you all again soon (and someone else organises a hoon, as the weather hates me).

Hello and welcome wavey

South of Reading you could do worse than checking out the A339 between Alton and Basingstoke wink
John - cheers for the welcome and the pointer! Pleeeeeeeeease could someone ping me through route (or Tomtom file) for the route they were running today? I know the weather's not ideal, but today's looking like being incredibly boring! The girlfriend's away, so if I don't get out of the house I might have to do some DIY. And that's not a euphamism for some kind of adolescent hairy-palmed activities...
I can send you the route if you email me through my profile.

Yeh, hope the Pug is ok, or can be fixed TimmerTVR.

Here's some crappy phone pics, sorry there's no video but the weather was too bad at the start to bother, and then we didn't stop so I couldn't put the camera on.

EDIT: gonna remove the numberplates and then add them again.
