Anyone else been watching "Big Chef takes on Little Chef" this week?

I reckon we need to have a breakfast run ending in Popham since it's only down the road...

biggrin

Hmmm, Valentine's day on Saturday and you wanna get up early on the Sunday? I don't think so.
I'd be up for the 22nd though.

Right, done!

I'll sort out a route which starts somewhere between Wellington and Hook and ends at Popham, and i'll try and keep it sensible (between 60 and 100 miles) with a stop off at least once for a fag break/leg stretch.

FEBRUARY 22nd, SUNDAY - breakfast run ending at Little Chef, Popham

Pretty subtle there Dave biggrin
Do you think Heston will bring the M5 with the cream interior or the black interior? Or am i the only one who noticed this slight continuity error?

Oooh, thanks for the heads up - in which case i may pop down there on my own (or with a small group if anyone wants to come) just to check it out at 9am on a Sunday. Tomorrow's out because of the Salisbury re-run but maybe next weekend of the one after...

Right, this Sunday is the "taster" for the proper run later on in Feb or March.

Route looking something like this: http://tinyurl.com/ahooh8

Start at Wellington Country Park at 8am, aim to be at the Little Chef before 9am.

See you guys at or before 8am - we won't be leaving late because we have to beat the Loti to the Little Chef smile

I don't think it'll be wet but it already is very icy, been slithering around in the 130 and ended up getting breathalysed biggrin

Good turnout, nice little run, quite slippy too biggrin

Not sure about the breakfast - it was tasty enough but not cheap and very slow, an hour from when we walked through the door until the last person received their plate of food.

Gotta say though, i've always avoided Little Chef breakfasts in the past but if they were all like that i'd be less inclined to avoid it in the future...

I'm still happy to sort out a breakfast run but it won't be to the Popham Little Chef.

Blackbushe, Swan Hungerford, Gorge, somewhere else. I'll start looking at a route.
